Celebrate World Cyanotype Day with PhotoPlace Gallery and Middlebury Studio School with a free, hands-on afternoon of making photographs with sunlight!
Drop in and discover cyanotype, a photographic process that uses UV light to create brilliant blue images. Participants can make their own sun prints using plants, leaves, flowers, found objects, and other materials on light-sensitive paper. All materials are provided, and you're encouraged to bring your own interesting objects to experiment with.
No photography or art experience is necessary. This event is designed to be fun, creative, and approachable for children and adults to enjoy together. Participants can also submit their finished work to the international World Cyanotype Day online gallery.
