Middlebury Studio School

Join fused glass artist Caroline Quick for this beginner workshop to create winter sun-catchers or ornaments, and immerse yourself in your own, unique artistic journey! These are perfect for brightening up your home or as a gift for someone special.
Caroline will guide you through the entire process, from design, understanding of the specialized tools used to cut glass, the different forms of glass that you can choose, and the different textures that can be achieved from each of them. There will be some examples of sun-catchers displayed as a guide and for inspiration!
After the workshop your unique creations will be fused with heat in Caroline’s glass kiln at her studio. Approximately one week later you will be contacted by Studio School staff to let you know your sun-catchers are ready for collection.
All materials included. All level/ Ages Adult/Teens 16+

Please Note: Students need to wear long pants and covered in shoes as a safety precaution while attending this workshop. 
Safety glasses or face shields will be provided.
Eating whilst working with glass is discouraged, and drinks containers should have a fitted lid or cap.
