Middlebury Studio School

In this two day workshop with visiting artist Hannah Stoll, students will dive into oil painting with an emphasis on abstraction. The instructor will cover the technicalities of color, mediums, surfaces, and solvents. Participants will explore approaches to composition, observation, and mark-making, providing personalized structure and support with guidance to pursue their own particular creative approaches. Students will experience the potential and excitement of a medium that may at first seem inaccessible.
