Art in Nature at Branbury - Camp Session 4

Branbury State Park will serve as an adventure annex of MSS this week! Campers will take part in three full days of big explorations in art and nature as they hike, explore, and develop artwork from the inspirations they discover. Students will learn and build on skills to creatively record their observations and impressions of the world around them as they experiment with different forms of artist mediums from drawing and sketching, painting, cyanotype, nature printing, and more.
Students will also learn about local natural history, native plants and wildlife, and gain an understanding of respectful and sustainable approaches to interacting with the natural world.
This experience will be a perfect fit for young artists who also love nature and being outdoors! The day will also include breaks for swimming, games, and play.
Tuition includes all materials and park entry fee. Our base camp for the week will be the East shelter at Branbury Beach. Our hiking activities will leave on foot from Branbury beach park and incorporate the Falls of Lana and Silver lake trails. All swimming will be supervised. This is a rain or shine camp.
Campers should bring a packed lunch, backpack, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, hat, sturdy shoes for hiking. Ages 7-11
