Let your Creativity flow as you explore a variety of surface design methods, combining color, contrast & carving. Create a set of four coasters while experimenting with slip decorating techniques. Learn about Sgraffito, carving and slip inlay to discover ways to customize your pieces. Put your own sense of style into your work to design a set of related pieces while taking your surface design skills to the next level. Materials & leather hard tiles will be provided. Students may bring 1-2 leather hard pieces to experiment with-(flat pieces such as plates & tiles are recommended). Pieces will be fired and glazed with a clear glaze by a staff member.Adults/All levels, some experience with clay is helpful but not necessary.
