Middlebury Studio School

In this three week after school class, children will have the freedom to explore, experiment, and test the limits while they paint what they love! Students will go more in depth each week as they develop skills, and most importantly discover that the real artistic magic begins to unfold when they hone in on what makes a painting interesting and the stories that can be told within! In addition to learning the fundamental elements of creating a finished artwork and developing fluency and comfort with the painters tools, the class will focus on encouraging creativity and painting subjects that each student feels connected to. Each week students will be guided through their projects as they gain confidence and skill with paint while experiencing the challenges and joy of self expression through a visual medium!
