Children will integrate printmaking with sewing, while designing and creating a set of cotton napkins. Printmaking offers endless possibilities of shape and color combinations, which will be explored throughout the design process. Using simple linoleum shapes, kids will get a feel for printing while creating tests on both paper and fabric. They will learn machine sewing along with creating their own custom stamps without any carving. These will be used for adding color to their set of napkins. Each child will be able to keep their stamps after the class, so the stamping fun may continue at home! Ages 7-11
